6 months down...16 weeks to go!!

TIme is starting to go by quickly. I can't believe we are at 6 months already!! We have added a few things to Jacob's room. Here is his nursery so far....

We probably won't be painting or anything since the house is up for sale and we will be moving in a year.

I know I know I'm fricken HUGE!

This is me at 24 weeks. I feel so huge! I have gained about 20lbs so far. My new craving is Lucky Charms cereal...I haven't had those since I was like 5! I can feel Jacob kick more now! I can even see my tummy move when he does it! He now likes to kick my bladder...NOT COOL! lol. Some of the girls at work are throwing me a baby shower in May so I'm looking forward to that! I found a small trace of brown blood in my underwear yesterday. That was a scary moment. I haven't spotted once this whole pregnancy so I immediately called the midwives. They told me to relax for the rest of the day and if I start to cramp or see bright red blood them call them back asap. Luckily nothing happened after the call and I still feel him moving around frequently so I'm pretty sure he is ok. That moment made me realize that I no longer think of myself first. My first thought was of my baby boy...I could care less what was wrong with me. This is motherhood. It's the most amazing feeling in the world. I love feeling him move. It's like he's saying hello to me. I talk to him sometimes when no one is around and he usually responds with movement. I'm so in love with my baby boy. I can't wait to hold him in my arms and see Will interact with him. 16 weeks seem so long but I hope they fly by! 

22 weeks!

It has been a while since I posted a blog. We have been busy working and vacationing in Miami. We had our baby shower there and it turned out great! I hope to get the pictures soon. I have a few from our trip.....

The first picture is of our Jacksonville friends that we went to visit and the second it of Will's dad and his dad's wife....and us of course lol. A little update:

We are 22 weeks pregnant today. I feel like I look bigger then most women at 22 weeks lol. Then again some people tell me I look normal for this time so I don't know. I'm still craving mustard and french fries...not together lol. I feel baby Jacob move more often now and it is the coolest feeling in the world! It's usually around the same times every day. It starts on my ride to work in the morning and I always say good morning to him and talk to him a little bit. A few time during the day, especially at lunch time. He doesn't like my new belly belt that I use for work to help support my back ( I was getting severe back pain since I stand for long periods of time), Jacob kicks it throughout the day. He then kicks around 6pm and then again when I lay in bed at night reading before bed. I have a new obsession with fruit bowls lately. I make a big one every week with cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries, gala apples, and green grapes! MMMM!!! We went and got our stroller today. We decided on the Chicco cortina keyfit. Looks like this....

It had great reviews and it's so easy to use. We also got a plak n play and some Winnie the Pooh nursery decor. Once the nursery is done I will post pics. Now all we need is a swing and breast pump but that can wait. I'm starting to get acid refux since my tummy is being a little squished now....it sucks! But I started making my meals smaller so that seems to help....now I just have to eat more often lol. Will put Jacob's Pooh Bear crib mobile together and mounted it on the crib...he turned the dial and it started playing Braham's Lullaby....Will and I looked at eachother and had a emotional moment. Only 18 weeks until our precious baby boy is here and we can't wait to meet him!! We had a great trip home and had a wonderful baby shower! Will's dad cooked a pig and we had curry chicken too!! MMMM!! We played some games and we got a bunch of gift cards! It was so much fun....pretty exhausting though! We didn't want to leave. I miss having friends a family to spend time with. As some of you know I haven't had much luck making many close friends here in Texas...I miss having girlfriends to hang out with and meet up for coffee with. I miss having family BBQ's to go to and family birthday parties to attend. I cried on the plane as it took off from Ft. Lauderdale airport....being pregnant really puts things into perspective. I realize now just how important all of our family and friends are to me. *sighes*
